Tanner and Rachel’s wedding at Caitlyn Farms in Mill Spring had a really nice balance of celebration and connection from start to finish.
Their ceremony took place out in the wide open field, one of the features that makes this venue so appealing for couples getting married in Western North Carolina. We also stepped into the flower garden for portraits, which gave Tanner and Rachel a few quiet minutes together before heading back to the celebration. Even without full blooms, the space still offered a beautiful backdrop and a chance to slow down for a moment.

The layout makes it easy for guests to stay comfortable and connected without feeling like they’re constantly transitioning between locations.
Their ceremony took place in the venue’s open field, where the natural light and clear views of the surrounding landscape created a beautiful setting for their vows. Guests gathered together with plenty of room to see and hear everything, and the space managed to feel both expansive and personal at the same time. That balance is a big part of what makes outdoor weddings in Western North Carolina so appealing.
A strong team of vendors helped bring their vision to life throughout the day. Rachel’s dress from Candler Budget Bridal fit perfectly with the outdoor setting, and the cake from Gateaux Cakes and Pastries added a nice focal point during the reception. Remix Weddings kept the energy up with music that kept the dance floor busy well into the evening.
We also spent time in one of the venue’s most recognizable spots, the flower garden, for portraits. It provided a softer backdrop and gave Tanner and Rachel a chance to step away from the crowd for a few quiet minutes together before heading back to the celebration.
Guests enjoyed great food from BTM Foodtruck and drinks provided by Mixers Co. Bar Service, while Verve Weddings and Events kept the timeline running smoothly behind the scenes. When a team works well together, the day tends to feel easy for everyone involved.
