Mohammad and Dana's beautiful Palestinian wedding at
The Yorkmont in Charlotte, North Carolina
Mohammad and Dana’s celebration at The Yorkmont in Charlotte was one we will remember for a long time.
They had already been formally married the year before, but this reception was their opportunity to gather friends and family and celebrate in a big, meaningful way. From the moment guests arrived, you could feel that this was going to be a special night. The Yorkmont provided a beautiful setting with a refined, elegant atmosphere that matched the significance of the occasion.
This was also our first time experiencing a Palestinian wedding, and it was incredible from start to finish. The traditions, the energy, and the sense of community throughout the evening made the celebration feel both joyful and deeply meaningful.

Mohammad and Dana’s reception at The Yorkmont was one of those events where the energy in the room never really slowed down.
Although they had already been married the year before, this celebration gave them the chance to bring everyone together and honor their marriage in a way that felt festive and unforgettable. From the start of the evening, there was a sense of anticipation, and once the celebration began, it carried through the entire night.

The Yorkmont in Charlotte provided the perfect setting for a reception like this. The venue has a polished, upscale look that feels formal without being stiff, and the layout made it easy for guests to move between dinner, conversation, and dancing. Their day of coordinator also did a fantastic job keeping everything organized behind the scenes, which allowed the couple and their families to focus on enjoying the moment.

One of the highlights of the evening was the entertainment provided by Karamah Zaffah, a Palestinian group known for performing traditional music and leading Dabka dancing. Their presence brought incredible energy into the room almost immediately. Guests gathered on the dance floor, clapping, cheering, and joining in the celebration together. It was lively, joyful, and full of movement from beginning to end.

For us, this wedding was especially memorable because it introduced us to cultural traditions we had not documented before. It was a reminder of how weddings can look different from one community to another, yet still share the same core purpose of bringing people together to celebrate love and family.

We were honored to provide both photography and videography for Mohammad and Dana’s reception, capturing everything from the grand entrances to the packed dance floor and the quiet moments in between.
This celebration was elegant, energetic, and deeply meaningful, and it’s one we will not soon forget.
