Mauro and Lubys' Wedding at
St. Lawrence Basilica and
The Country Club of Asheville
in Asheville, North Carolina

Mauro and Lubys’ wedding day in Asheville had a quiet sweetness to it that stayed with us the entire time.

The day began at the Basilica of St. Lawrence in downtown Asheville, one of the most beautiful and recognizable churches in the city. As the doors opened and guests found their seats, there was this calm, reverent atmosphere in the room. The architecture alone is stunning, but what stood out most was how present everyone felt during the ceremony.

Afterward, the celebration moved over to the Country Club of Asheville for the reception. The mood shifted from quiet and reflective to joyful pretty quickly. Friends and family gathered, hugs turned into laughter, and the dance floor stayed busy well into the evening.

From start to finish, the day felt heartfelt and genuine. As you scroll through their gallery, you’ll see a wedding that was simple in the best way. Two people who clearly love each other, surrounded by the people who care about them most, celebrating together in Asheville.

Mauro and Lubys’ wedding day started at the Basilica of St. Lawrence in downtown Asheville, and from the moment the ceremony began you could tell how much the day meant to them and to the people sitting in those pews.

The Basilica is one of the most recognizable ceremony locations in Asheville, and for good reason. The architecture, the stained glass, and the way the light moves through the space give the room a sense of history and calm. As Mauro and Lubys exchanged vows, the whole place felt quiet in the best way. Guests were fully present. You could see it in the small smiles, the glances between family members, and a few quiet tears here and there. Nothing felt dramatic or overdone. Just sincere.

After the ceremony, everyone made their way to the Country Club of Asheville for the reception. Moving from the historic feel of downtown Asheville to the relaxed elegance of the Country Club worked really well. It kept the day feeling special while giving guests space to settle in and enjoy the celebration.

As the evening went on, conversations stretched a little longer, laughter got louder, and the dance floor slowly filled up. The kind of reception where people are genuinely happy to be there.

Mauro and Lubys carried that same calm, genuine energy into every part of the day. Portraits, first dances, time with friends and family, it all felt relaxed and honest.

Their wedding was a good reminder that the most meaningful celebrations don’t need a lot of extra noise. Sometimes the best ones are steady, sincere, and full of quiet joy. This Asheville wedding was exactly that.
