Holden and Laiken's Wedding at
Templeton Meadows in
Boone, North Carolina
Holden and Laiken’s wedding in Boone, North Carolina had that classic winter feel that makes December weddings so memorable.
The weather was cold, but the atmosphere was warm from start to finish. Seasonal decorations added subtle Christmas touches throughout the day, giving everything a cozy, festive look that fit perfectly with the mountain setting. You could feel the sense of celebration the moment guests arrived.
There were also a few moments during the ceremony that carried extra meaning. Because Laiken’s father wasn’t able to attend, her twin brothers stepped in to walk her down the aisle. They also stood in for the traditional father daughter dance later in the evening, which made those parts of the day especially emotional for everyone watching.

Holden and Laiken’s wedding day in Boone was a beautiful example of how meaningful moments often come from the people who step in when it matters most.
December weddings in the mountains can be cold, but they also carry a certain charm that’s hard to recreate any other time of year. Their celebration included small Christmas inspired decorations that added warmth to the space and made the day feel seasonal without being over the top. It created a cozy atmosphere that fit perfectly with the winter setting.
One of the most touching parts of the day came during the ceremony. Because Laiken’s father wasn’t able to be there, her twin brothers walked her down the aisle. It was a moment that felt both emotional and incredibly supportive, and you could see how much it meant to her to have them by her side.
Later in the reception, those same brothers stepped in again for the father daughter dance. Watching them share that moment together brought out a lot of emotion in the room. It was bittersweet, but also a powerful reminder of how families show up for each other during important milestones.
From a coverage standpoint, this wedding was also a good example of how every couple has different priorities when it comes to photography and videography. Holden and Laiken wanted full photo coverage, along with a ceremony video and the raw footage from the day. We were more than happy to provide exactly that. Flexibility is important to us, because every wedding is different and every couple values different things.
Throughout the day there were plenty of smiles, hugs, and quiet moments between friends and family. Even with the winter chill outside, the celebration felt warm and full of connection.
Holden and Laiken’s wedding was a reminder that meaningful weddings aren’t defined by perfect circumstances. They’re shaped by the people who show up, the moments that matter, and the love that carries everyone through the day.
